Structural Demolition

Structural demolition is the removal of entire buildings and structures: steel, concrete, masonry, and timber, including foundations and slabs. Select plans each take-down around the framing system, the condition of the structure, and the neighbors, utilities, and public ways that must be protected while it comes down.

Scope

  • Complete building take-downs: steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
  • High-reach excavation with shear, pulverizer, and multi-processor attachments
  • Building separation from structures that remain in service
  • Foundation, footing, grade beam, and slab removal
  • Debris processing, recycling, and on-site crushing for backfill

Where it applies

  • Zero-lot-line urban sites with active sidewalks and streets
  • Structures tied into buildings that remain occupied
  • Plazas and garages that cannot carry equipment loads without engineering and shoring
  • Facades and foundations with asbestos-containing materials behind them

What we plan with you

  • Pre-demolition structural review and engineered sequencing where required
  • Utility disconnect verification and protection of remaining services
  • Street occupancy, police details, and pedestrian protection
  • Dust, noise, and vibration controls agreed with the owner and abutters

What we bring

  • Company-owned fleet of approximately 50 excavators, 8 to 150 tons, including high-reach machines
  • More than 200 shears, pulverizers, multi-processors, grapples, and hydraulic hammers
  • In-house mechanics and a mobile service unit that keep equipment on schedule
