Safety is a condition of employment at Select. A full-time safety team inspects every jobsite, trains every crew, and reviews every near miss so that production never comes at the expense of the people on site or the neighbors around it.

The program

How safety is organized

Leadership. One Environmental Health & Safety Director and eight Safety Advisors with backgrounds in environmental consulting, demolition, insurance, remediation, and health and safety.
Accountability. A Safety Accountability Program holds every employee, at every level, to the behaviors required for employment at Select.
Field oversight. Daily jobsite inspections, weekly audits and summary reports, weekly toolbox talks, and visits to more than 60 active jobsites each week.
Training. In-house programs covering aerial lifts, asbestos, silica, PCB and lead awareness, fall protection, scaffolding, first aid/CPR/AED, and confined space, with an emphasis on reporting and injury management.
Review. A Safety Leadership Team meets quarterly to review practices, near misses, and injuries. Monthly foremen meetings carry the findings to the field.
Executive involvement. Executive management makes weekly jobsite visits and performs safety audits. Ownership funds safety initiatives as a standing priority.
