The environments we work in, the practices each one demands, and the projects that show it.

Academic
Campus work means working around the academic calendar, student housing, research continuity, and institutional review. Select has removed an 800,000 SF science building at UMass Boston and gutted laboratory floors at Yale while adjacent buildings stayed in use.

Commercial
Commercial demolition ranges from full building take-downs on corporate campuses to landmark dismantling above an occupied building in Kenmore Square. The common constraint is adjacency: neighbors, tenants, and the public are rarely far away.

Healthcare & Laboratories
Hospitals and laboratories remain in operation during renovation. Building separation from an active hospital, removal of radiation vaults, and infrastructure upgrades inside occupied wings shape every removal.

Industrial & Plant
Plant decommissioning combines heavy structural work with process residue, coated steel, and failing structures. At the Sprague Energy power plant in New Bedford, Select abated a six-story hung boiler and built a new roof enclosure to contain a collapsed structure for abatement.

Heavy Civil & Transportation
Transportation work is governed by possessions, closures, and agency oversight. Select has worked inside Boston's South Station while trains and buses ran, removed bridge superstructures over the MBTA Orange Line, and replaced decks along I-95 in Maine.
